LDAP problem installaing 4.0.1 on CentOS 4.4

Apart from using KDE that's about what I do for CentOS, the install menu is a bit iffy for RedHat IMO. When you've installed o/s just do a 'yum upgrade' then 'yum install yumex' and that will allow you to install packages slightly easier.

You may also need the compat libs, have a look at this post and make sure they're installed.

My "minimal" install using CentOS is 315 packages (including Zimbra). As long as the computer will be used to test Zimbra, you really don't need a graphical interface (either GNOME or KDE).

I added them yesterday on my test OSS server :

yum install compat-libstdc++-296 compat-libstdc++-33

The "&#"&(/ CentOS helped me with the hosts file. Althou I had set my local if to a private address, CentOS did find out my external address and put into hosts... (It took a while before I noticed it, the external adr was something that my brain accepted..)
I've never seen that before. After setting my private address in hosts the install worked lika a charm!!! Good stuff!
