Zimbra Upgrade from 5.0 to 6.08 on UBUNTU 8.04

I want to upgrade my zimbra server ,what are the steps which I needs to take care ,also I want to loose my email boxes and the emails .

Read the Release Notes, search the forums for any possible problems, download the Zimbra binary, take a backup of your /opt/zimbra directory structure and run the upgrade.
