Default [SOLVED] Cannot get mails from blackberry via IMAP

Hello,

I have installed Zimbra server version 6.0.7GA on Centos 5.5. I am trying to disable ssl support on POP3 and IMAP in order my users to work with no certificates for now, blackberry users cant login via IMAP because of the self signed certificates as i did read in this same forum. The question is, despite i already disable ssl in IMAP and POP tabs (server properties) and even TLS and Authentication in the MTA tab the users cant login into the server using pop3 (port 110), they always get this error from the server:

-ERR only valid after entering TLS mode

Could somebody please tell me how to disable this and work plain in pop3 and imap protocols?

I hope i did myself clear enough

regards,

--Ivan.

Hi Ivan,

I've been out of the loop for a while, so I might not have the correct answer, but hopefully I am able to lead you in the correct direction... Have you checked the log files on the server while trying to connect? You may want to check:

tail -f /var/log/zimbra.log

That should tell you what's going on when you try to connect.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for the info G.... after checking the config i saw in the zimbra global options there are checkboxes for TLS and SSL for POP and IMAP as well and they have priority no matter what you define in the server properties. I did uncheck them and now it is working.

Weeee
