copy mailboxes from server A to server B

I have a sendmail/pop3 server that has user mail in /home/username/mail. Inside that directory they may have subfolders, sent-items, saved, etc.

I installed a zimbra server on another box and would like to move the old mail.

I have tried without success to use the pop2imap tool, is there a way to just copy those folders over to the new zimbra server, and if so in which directory in zimbra do I copy them too?

Others may have a better solution, but here's what I did:
Download all of the messages into a Outlook using pop3
Set up another account as an IMAP account on my ZCS server
Just moved the messages over by drag and drop.

This doesn't preserve Dates & Times, but it preserves folder structure.

Another option is the PST importer.
