Use whatever package manager that comes with your distribution? Perhaps it would help us if you told use which Zimbra product and release you're trying to install and what error you're getting.

Well, as I mentioned above, you need to use your current package manager to install the missing component. I'm not a user of Ubuntu so I guess it's possibly one of these: +"how to" +ubuntu +"package management" - Yahoo! Search Results

Default Difficulty Configuring Dns

hi,
Am getting a bit discourage about configuring ZCS on my ubunty because my DNS is not working. please, help me with a simple defination of the following term

1) name server:- is this same thing as the host name of my computer? e.g my server host name is Phill, is the name server same thing as Phill.

(2)what are the major config file to watch-out for when configuring bind.

note please: I have read a lot on this but am still find this configuration difficult, any one with any simple explanation should help me out please.

No, it's not the same. The 'Name Server' is what is usually know as a DNS server i.e. BAN (or it's proper name: NAMED) or some othe DNS server software. BTW, you should not use uppercase in your hostname.

The configuration of BIND is described in the Split DNS article with details on how to verify it's correct functioning. There's also details in the forums on how to configure DNS.
