Default Zimbra 6.x installation using hostname alias

hi,

i was wondering if there was a way to force the Zimbra installation to use an alias instead of the real hostname.

for example, let suppose i have a system named linux1 (internal non-routed network name), and it's external name is mail.domain.dom

when i perform an installation, the configuration seems to prefer the name linux1, and it i change it after the installation is complete, the ldap server has problems starting up correctly.

thanks,

-matt

Please read the details (or search the forums) in the Quick Start Installation Guide on what's required for the /etc/hosts file.
