Unhappy [SOLVED] postfix not starting

When I start zmcontrol start, mta fails stating that libssl library is not found

postfix start
/opt/zimbra/postfix/sbin/postmap: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.0.9.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/opt/zimbra/postfix/sbin/postalias: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.0.9.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/opt/zimbra/postfix/sbin/postfix: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.0.9.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Any idea how to fix this. I just did an upgrade from 5.0.16 to 5.0.23.

Here is the total log when I do zmcontrol start

zmcontrol start

Starting mailbox...Done.
Starting imapproxy...Done.
Starting antispam...Done.
Starting snmp...Done.

Welcome to the forums

Which O/S are you using ?
Code:
su - zimbra
zmcontrol -v
Did you definitely upgrade to the same architecture release ?

I am on Zimbra 5.0.23.GA. Got it upgraded from 5.0.16.GA after recent EOL of clamav 0.94...
Things are kind of desperate as the mail server is down since April 16th

So, your server is running 32-bit CentOS 5, right?

Just out of curiosity, have you tried a full server reboot?

In your PM you said you had power issues back on the 16th. What else have you tried since the outage and before doing the upgrade? You don't have sendmail or the stock postfix running do you?

One thing to try is to completely shutdown Zimbra and then as root run /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmfixperms --extended.

Did you try running the 'zmfixperms' command that Uxbod suggested?
