Account details from external LDAP

Hi, I have set up authentication against external LDAP and it works, but as I understand, external LDAP can be used only for user mapping and password checking. I would be happy, if i could use another user account related info from external LDAP - for example - Full Name, Display Name, phone, address etc. Is this possible?
