[SOLVED] ZCS Upgrade from 5 to 6

Dear all,

Current server setup

OS : FC7
ZCS :5.0.10_GA_2638.F7_20081003060853 F7 FOSS edition (opensource edition)

i want upgrade to ZCS 6(opensource edition). i have searched in google and zimbra wiki. But there is no guideline for upgrade.

Can anyone help me?

Make sure you have a full backup and then download the appropriate ZCS version and run install.sh ?

i had to rebuild everything while upgrading 5.0.X to 6.0.X. even though i have full backup. 5 to 6 is major upgarde so that the mail server might be unusable. My solution was clean uninstall and install 6.x version.

The real challenge is when you have to rejoin the old mailbox to a new version mailbox.. because the unique ID is different and zimbra might threat as different user... but its not impossible because ive done it..

I successfully Upgraded 5.0.10 to 6.0.6
I reconfigured our Customization too...(copy of all sent and received mails from external domain to particular mailbox)

Server up and running smoothly

Cent OS 5.4
ZCS 6.0.6GA Opensource

Hi pisko1979,

Since i am using FOSS Edition i followed the below document to upgrade.
But, This document common for both FOSS and NE.

And, also i am installed ZCS 6.0.6 in different server. i done two activities one is migration to new server and another is upgradation of ZCS-5.0.10(FOSS) to ZCS 6.06(FOSS) Edition in new server.
