Default MX backup

I am curious as to how it is possible to create an MX backup using zimbra community edition. Is there a wiki for this? I would need features like tcp ping that knows when the primary mail server is online again ready to accept mail. Also best practices to prevent backscatter. Also if I was creating MX backup for zimbra is there a way that I could just use RSYNC scripts to run and essentially have a hot backup server. As well as best practice for MX backup for such email platforms like exchange.

Any input is appreciated.

There's a ton of information describing a Backup MX: "backup mx" postfix - Yahoo! Search Results

Details on preventing backscatter in the forums, if you serach. My advice would be to use a professional service for your Backup MX.

You could also search the forums for 'DRBD' as well as several threads on using rsync to keep a backup server up-to-date.

I think that would be best directed to an Exchange forum.
