Default Installation in other directory than /opt

Can I install zimbra 5.0.2.1 in any other directory other than /opt like
/myserver/zimbra since I can have this with a large space. Also it will be easier to take backup. If I have to take backup of mailboxes which is the best way to do and how ?

Thanks in advance

No, you can't change the installation directory. You can always move the /opt directory on any HD mount point you like and Zimbra will install in that location.
