Correct. In 6.0.x, anonymous LDAP binds are disabled by default. You can always use the zmldapanon script to enable them if you like. It is of course, better to use actual authenticated and encrypted binds to query the LDAP server.

For backwards compatibility, 5.0.x -> 6.0.x upgrades keep anonymous LDAP binds enabled since that was the old behavior in 5.0.x and previous releases.
