Default External webserver

Dear,

Is it possible to run the webmail package on an external apache server? Since If I open mail.domain.com i want it to show the zimbra webmail interface.
Is this possible?

Thanks in advance,

Nick

No, that's not possible, Zimbra is an integrated suite of applications and it's not possible to split them out. The Web UI is java code that's downloaded into your browser when you access a Zimbra server.

Thank you for the reply. I have only 1 public ip, the apache server handles the requests for the port numbers 80 and 443. So I could set Zimbra to listen on port 8080 and go to domain.com:8080.

But is there a way to make ik listen to mail.domain.com? Without the port number given?

Or is there a way in Apache to forward all the request received from mail.domain.com to the zimbra server?

Thanks in advance,

Nick

There are several threads in the forums that cover this topic or you could also search the wiki for the word 'apache'.
