Default Error on install

on RHEL I'm getting a install error. Her is what in my install.log

Preparing packages for installation...
groupadd: cannot rewrite group file
useradd: unknown group zimbra
error: %pre(zimbra-core-3.1.4_GA_518.RHEL4-20060626143329.i386) scriptlet failed, exit status 6
error: install: %pre scriptlet failed (2), skipping zimbra-core-3.1.4_GA_518.RHEL4-20060626143329

I have no idea what this means.

hmm, I didn't install LDAP or SNMP. I can't seem to access the gui at all. Is LDAP necessary?

So LDAP didn't start or that it can't connect.

What does your hosts file look like?
Code:
ERROR: service.FAILURE (system failure: getDirectContext) (cause: javax.naming.CommunicationException localhost:389)
