Default Questions about upgrading from 5.0.18 to 6.0.4 with Posix Accounts

Hi everyone.

I'm an happy admin of a Zimbra server since this summer, now with 142 users (most of them using Outlook Connector), and I'm preparing for the big upgrade from 5.0.18 to 6.0.4. I've looked around the wiki and as far as I can tell the upgrade should be pretty easy, but I have some doubts about the posix accounts stuff.
We use Zimbra's LDAP to authenticate the users on our intranets and servers (ssh and samba), so I've installed the zimlets and changed the ldap schema according to the Wiki for 5.x. I've looked around and sometimes I see that everything should be upgraded smoothly, and some other times it looks like there are some changes to be made before the upgrade.

Can someone tell me what I should expect and do?

Thanks for your help!

Did you see the Upgrade Note in the wiki? That points you to these instructions: Optimizing 5.0 to 6.0 LDAP upgrade - Zimbra :: Wiki

Thanks for your reply
Yeah, I saw that Wiki note the other day, but I (at least I think I did) remember seeing some other more complicated stuff back when 6.0.0 was released. So maybe I was hallucinating, and that's always possible with me, or the process has been simplified after the 6.0.0 release.
I just wanted to make sure, because obviously like the every other Zimbra admin I can't really afford to make a mistake
If that wiki note is the latest info, then I guess I'm all set for the upgrade. I'll post here once it's done so other people with the same questions don't have to annoy people like I did.

Best regards!

It's no annoyance, I ask the questions just for confirmation. I'd also suggest you search through the forums to see if anyone else has had problems with that type of upgrade, I can't think of any offhand but you never know.

Yeah I of course searched the forum for someone who had the same question, couldn't find any. Zimbra is still rather new after all.

Oh, you'd be surprised how many people don't. In that case you should be set to go with the wiki article.
