| | | Thanks Bobby,
Mailmode was correctly configured.
The command "zmsaslauthctl start" solved the problem. Now the Pop3/smtp works just fine with Outlook Express.
It seems that the saslauthctl does not start via the zmcontrol start command. You have to run it manually.Any comment on that ?

| | | New Problems came up !
I configured an other mailbox server. Everything woked fine until I enabled imap/pop3 proxy. After restarting zimbra services tomcat didn't started anymore on both mailbox servers. Disabled pop3/imap proxy and everything went back to normal.
Regarding pop3/imap config, I followed the procedures printed on the latest release notes, but it does not seens enough for me. Can someone show me the way to enable pop3/imap proxy ?

| | check these to make sure the tomcat pop/imap ports don't conflict with the proxy ports:
zmprov gs web01.domain.pt | grep -i imap
zmprov gs web01.domain.pt | grep -i pop
the proxy ports should be the normal ports (110, 143, 993, 995) and the tomcat pop/imap ports should be something else (like 7110, 7143, etc) |

| | | Thanks bobby,
In fact some ports were misconfigured. Zmprov ms solved the problem. I was surprised that this issue affect both servers ,because only one had the ports incorrectly configured. Fact is that after enabling pop/imap proxy both tomcats refused to start.
Now everything seems to be working nice, I even get stats from my servers activity. The only thing missing is the start script. Zimbra doesn't start on boot. I read this was a bug on one release but i thought it was fixed by now.
Any comments on how to start zimbra automaticly after rebooting ?

You can just copy /opt/zimbra/libexec/zimbra to /etc/init.d and link it to the right rc#.d dir. |

| | | Thanks KevinH,
an ln -s at rc3.d solved the problem.
Now I'm almost done, only a few things are not working correctly and I really wold like to take all the "juice" out of Zimbra.
1- I need to run Iptables in my zimbra servers, tried some FW configuration and the MTA stopped delivering mail to the mailbox server.
Question: Any particular port that needs to be open beside the usual ones ?
2- The graph stats are not looking very nice, there is some mismatch with the horizontal legend. I restarted logging but it didn't help. Any comments on that ?
Thank you all,

| | | Hi,
Bad view in:
Message Count -> Last 48H
Message Volume -> Last 48H
Message Spam -> Last 48H
Always the same problem: Horizontal view missmatch.
