Once it is installed as user zimbra do: zmcontrol status

Thank you very much.
The result I got is shown below. Can you please tell what could be the wrong with the stopped services. I started the services again using command "zmcontrol start". But again if I check the status of the services, it says the same.
[zimbra@zimbra ~]$ zmcontrol status
Host zimbra
antispam Stopped
zmamavisdctl is not running
antivirus Stopped
zmamavisdctl is not running
ldap Running
logger Running
mailbox Running
mta Stopped
postfix is not running
snmp Running
spell Running
You have new mail in /var/spool/mail/zimbra

Thanks in advance.

I have followed all the instructions while installing it. And that too, some of the services are running and the others are only stopped. Do you think from my previous message that my installation didn't went well?
Regards

I am not great with this, but there is clear something didn't go right. Check to make sure your DNS stuff is right and do some searching on the board for more help. But it is clear to me (though I may be wrong), that something didn't go right in the installation.

Looks like you have another MTA running.
Make sure sendmail and the postfix that comes with your distro is disable is disabled.

yes, i think wannabetenor is correct.
stop sendmail and fierfox before the installation of zimbra.
use these two statement to stop them :
/etc/init.d/sendmail stop
/sbin/service iptables stop

You should also disable SELinux if it's installed.
