Default Roadmap for OS support

Following on from my previous two posts, the reason that I am trying to build the code from scratch is because I couldn't get Zimbra to install on Ubuntu 9.10. I know this is not a supported OS, but I cannot get 8.04 LTS to install on my clunky old hardware. So I'm going to try and build it on 9.10. Two questions:

Has anybody had any luck installing Zimbra on Ubuntu 9.10?

Is there a documented roadmap for Zimbra working on newer OSs?

Thanks

Bugzilla would be the place to look for upcoming supported distributions such as this: Bug 37461 – Ubuntu 10.04 Server LTS support - do a search for your favourite o/s and see what coming. If you're having problems then perhaps you could try another distribution such as CentOS?

I'm more than happy to try different distributions, and as you've mentioned CentOS, then I think that could be my next choice. I'll look into downloading. Thanks.

I'd drop a note in the CentOS forums and see if there may be any problems with your specific hardware, it might save you a download if there is.
