Default Zimbra NE on Netapp -advice/input

I'm designing a new server and I was thinking of putting Zimbra NE on a Netapp filer connected over Fiber Channel to a pool of (FC/SAS disks). I'm also considering adding a VM Layer.

Can anyone tell me if they are running Zimbra on Netapp? If you are, can you please tell me the protocols, disks types you are using, and obviously if you recommend such a setup?

My understanding is you still have to take down zimbra to make a snapshot, or under VM pause zimbra VM. This is a great way of taking a quick backup before upgrading to a new system from time to time. On a daily basis the Zimbra NE will handle the nightly live backups.

Thank you,

Leo

Thumbs up

I have FC slice mounted on (ON SAN)/opt, and all installation is over /opt.

And all things are working properly.
