Hardware recommendations for large installations

Hello
Assuming that we need to make a new ZCS installation for 50000 users, what hardware configuration would you recommend?

How many servers would you suggest to handle mailboxes and how many to handle MTA/LDAP?

I'd start by calling Zimbra Sales to get their take on this first. You can always run their hardware specs by us here on the forums afterwards for second opinions!

Zimbra have an intake form that asks things like number of expected simultaneous users, which protocols (POP, IMAP, etc.) will be made available to users, regulatory requirements, retention policies, quotas and a number of other data points which impact the design (and costs!) greatly.

That's a long way of saying that the answer to your question is more of a conversation-driven process than a "here's the spec sheet" solution.
