Default Zimbra Toaster

Being a new Zimbra admin, starting with version 6.01 i found the Zimbra toaster app in admin downloads. Seemed like an exxelent app, with cryptated passwords and per user install. I connecs as it should, but does not show new mails and cannot open the mailbox.

This morning I updated to 6.02 (without trouble, thank you zimbra, ), and tried the new version of toaster for 6.02, though I have the same problem.

I´ve asked in another thread, but i guess that discussion have move from Zimbra toaster to another software.

Have anyone solved the problem with the Toaster. It seems to be a really great function to use with the webinterface!

Okey, so, stupid question maybe, where shall I post questions about it? I cannot find any open source specific forum.

All of these forums are for the Open Source version of Zimbra, the other post states 'it will be moved to the Open Source community' meaning that it hasn't been yet - the toaster is currently unsupported and is provided 'as is'. There are other 'toaster' like applications for Linux & Windows that will check for new mail if you do an internet search.

I know, but, no one free and as complete as the toaster seemed to be when it worked. I mean, MSI installation, (easy to push with AD), per user installation and pop up notification.

You Zimbra folks have no idea what is broken? Maybe it is easy to fix with some moderate C# knowledge.

lordarcane,
Did you ever find anything that would work the same as "toaster"?
Thanks.

No, i did not. But now I have tested the program HidX posted a link about and it seems to work! Though, it lacks functions like popup when new mail arrives etc etc. Only change of icon when user has mail.
