Default Auth against OpenDS

Hi

I need to deploy zimbra in an environment in which we have OpenDS as Directory Service. Can I use OpenDS instead of OpenLdap? Someone has just done it?
Thnx in advance!

You can certainly use OpenDS as an Authentication source but you must install the Zimbra LDAP and provision users in there.

mmmm Something was not clear, but I wasn't clear for first.

I have an environment with OpenSSO and OpenDs. I just have users and group on my OpenDs. Now in this environment I have to install Zimbra, and the same users that I just have on OpenDs have to use Zimbra as their mail server.
There's a way to use directly OpenDs instead OpenLdap to do it?

Thanks a lot
Daniele

I understood your question the first time, the answer is as I've already stated above.

All you can do is external authentication to OpenDS with users on both system as Phoenix told you. You cannot replace openldap altogether with opends.
