zimbraGalLdapAttr: attribute type undefined

hi,

im following these instructions:

GAL Attribute Mapping - Zimbra :: Wiki

to map some atributes with an external LDAP but i get an error:

$ zmprov
prov> mcf +zimbraGalLdapAttr description=description
ERROR: account.INVALID_ATTR_NAME (invalid attr name: [LDAP: error code 17 - zimbraGalLdapAttr: attribute type undefined])
prov>

anyone facing same problem?

can i change these values directly on LDAP?

If you read the article that you linked you should be using "zimbraGalLdapAttrMap" rather then "zimbraGalLdapAttr".

The error you posted is saying it doesn't know what "zimbraGalLdapAttr" is.
