Brian, 10x. For the moment we don't have a new server, that is why I`m upgrading with the SLES10 zcs. In the future we will migrate this one too to another hardware and of course to an 100% supported distribution .

Regarding the other problem, we only make backups of our data, we basically upgrade our version to the next one. So, no fresh install was made but we never installed a NETWORK edition over it.

Regarding the NETWORK identifier on FOSS builds, are you copying files between releases while testing a migration plan? zmbackupquery definately does not exist on fresh FOSS installs.
Just to be sure we are all on the same page here..what bsarandan did was upgrading an old OS version with a the latest OS version. We never copied files between NE edition and OS edition..who would do something like this? All our servers are in production so we don't want to make crazy tests here..we just want to be sure no problems will appear in the future from this weird situation.
one more thing i want to mention here: if i go in the admin console - help desk - and click on the About Zimbra Version , we do get the right answer, showing that indeed this the OS version not the NE version as the zmcontrol -v control is "telling" us. so probably we should be ok..
