Default [SOLVED] problem install ldap replication server

Hello,

I have one server Release 5.0.13_GA_2791.UBUNTU8 UBUNTU8 FOSS edition up and running fine.
I want to install a second one as a backup mail server. I have some problems with setting up this one as a ldap replication server.
I tried to install zimbra:
zcs-5.0.19_GA_3083.UBUNTU8.20090918145829
zcs-6.0.1_GA_1816.UBUNTU8.20090911174852
but without success even that I've followed all steps from Configuring LDAP Replication

on master server replication is enabled.
host, dns I think all are ok

ldap pass = ok

the errors received: on ver. 5
Adding mail2.mydomain.com to zimbraMailHostPool in default COS...ERROR: service.FAILURE (system failure: unable to lookup server by name: mail2.mydomain.com message: [LDAP: error code 49 - Invalid Credentials]) (cause: javax.naming.AuthenticationException [LDAP: error code 49 - Invalid Credentials])
ERROR: service.FAILURE (system failure: unable to lookup COS by name: default message: [LDAP: error code 49 - Invalid Credentials]) (cause: javax.naming.AuthenticationException [LDAP: error code 49 - Invalid Credentials])

Setting up syslog.conf...ERROR: service.FAILURE (system failure: unable to get config) (cause: javax.naming.AuthenticationException [LDAP: error code 49 - Invalid Credentials])

it seems a ldap config problems. where can I take a look?

please help!
thank you

Those two statements seems to contradict each other, you also can't use the backup server as an LDAP replica. A backup mail server is a discrete entity that receives mail when the primary server goes down, it is not a clone of your main server. Give some more detailed description of what, exactly, you're trying to do.

Default ldap replication problem

wow, thank you for this very quick reply.

I want to receive e-mails on both server and to have users sync on them.
and in case that the first one goes down users could work with the second srv.

on second server: mail2.mydomain.com

cat /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.105.101 mail2.mydomain.com mail2

cat /etc/bind/db.mydomain.com
;
; Addresses and other host information.
;
@ IN SOA mydomain.com. admin.mydomain.com. (
10124 ; Serial
43200 ; Refresh
3600 ; Retry
3600000 ; Expire
2592000 ) ; Minimum
; Define the nameservers and the mail servers
IN NS 192.168.105.101
IN A 192.168.105.100
IN A 192.168.105.101
mail2.mydomain.com. IN MX 0 mail2.mydomain.com.
IN MX 0 mail2.mydomain.com.
IN MX 0 mydomain.com.
mail2 IN A 192.168.105.101
mydomain.com IN A 192.168.105.100

the first server's hostname is mydomain.com
the second: mail2.mydomain.com

thank you

Except what you're trying to do isn't possible in the way that you're doing i, as I said above a backup MX server will just receive mail when the primary server goes offline it isn't a HA solution.. If you want a High Availability solution then that's only available with the Network Edition and then only Red Hat Cluster Services. You can do something similar with the OSS version, search the forums (and/or the wiki) for 'HA', 'High Availability' 'DRBD' - all or some combination of those words will get you some threads that detail what others have done.
