Default Zimbra NE 6.0.1 fresh installation: 501 Not Implemented

I've just installed a brand new installation of Zimbra NE:
OS: Ubuntu 8.04 Server
Zimbra: Network Edition 6.0.1 (GA 1816)

A paid license is installed.

The Admin interface works fine, I've added users/distribution lists.

When going to the Zimbra web interface though I get the following error message:
Quote:
501 Not Implemented

The requested method is not implemented by this server.
The server status in the admin interface seems to indicate that all services are Ok (ticked).

Two things to note:
  • The machine is underspec'd (512 MB of ram), the machine used to work fine when running 5.0.10 - 5.0.19.
  • I'm using redirect mode for the web interface (switching back to mixed mode doesn't fix it though).

Any ideas where I should start my troubleshooting?
Any help is much appreciated.

Yes, 1GB minimum (testing) and 2-4GB for a production server as per the system requirements.

Bummer...
How would one downgrade from 6.0.1 to 5.0.19? (in case the customer is unwilling to buy more RAM)

It's not possible unless you took a backup before the upgrade. They really do need more RAM and I would recommend they install at least 2GB for reasonable performance (depending on the number of users). You're really not going to get away with 512MB.

Ok, the RAM has now been upgraded to 4GB. However this has not fixed the issue.

I'm still getting a "501 Not Implemented" when browsing to the user web interface. The admin interface works fine.

I've ran the installer again, but this didn't fix it either.

Any thoughts?

If this is a fresh install as you said in your first post no matter if there was a procedure or not, it would be impossible to downgrade to 5.0.x branch...
If the server hasn't been put into use I would just completely delete /opt/zimbra and do a new fresh install.

Correct this was a fresh install, however the server is in use (mail used by IMAP users).

I understand downgrading the system is not possible, so as suggested I've upgraded the system memory to 4GB, however this has not fixed the error 501 issue. My question was: where do I start investigating this error 501 issue?

This "error 501" problem still exists. As there doesn't seem to be a solution on this forum, how do I escalate this?
As this is a paying customer (Network Edition), where do we raise a support request?

The customer needs to contact Tech Support via the support porta (they would have received detsils with their Licence etc.).

Does this server have any firewall or AppArmor installed or active? Is their DNS A & MX plus host file correct and pointing to the Zimbrra server. Are they using http or https for connecting to the Web UI?
