| | | [SOLVED] Can't send emails to some domains Hi
I'm new with zimbra and i did my first install (Release 6.0.1_GA_1816.DEBIAN5_64 DEBIAN5_64 FOSS edition.) following guides and wikis, well everything went good so far until i started testing the email capacity of zimbra. At first i tried sending emails to gmail yahoo and hotmail, well they arrived quickly but when i tried to send email to a private domain i can't i instantly get a message like this: Quote:
This is the mail system at host zimbra.mydomain.com.

| Well the hostname of my machine is zimbra.mydomain.com and i do have reverse dns and mx entries, well this server is a subdomain of mydomain.com wich is located in another machine (dunno if this has something of importance), also there is a ton of logs and i don't know which ones are those who register this type of errors.
I'm not blacklisted btw
I'm sure that i'm missing something, if you can please give me some advice i appreciate it.
If you need any extra info i will post it right away.
Thanks in advance. |

| | | Please check /var/log/zimbra.log for any error messages. It would be helpful if you were to send another email and then post the entries from that logfile.

Oct 9 14:42:05 zimbra zmmailboxdmgr[28182]: status OK | well 2 things:
1. the account test@zimbra.mydomain.com is in the zimbra box and tries to send an email to consultas@mydomain.com (which is parent of zimbra.mydomain.com) located in another box. well i got the bounce inmediately so it should not even reach the other server.
2. it seems that it happens only with this domain perhaps since its a subdomain of the very same domain i'm trying to send. because i've sent email to another domains in the same machine and they arrive |

| | | Check your MX record, from your ZCS server, for that domain. Code: dig mydomain.com mx

| | | it should answer anything in particular?
i got this in the mx section:
mydomain.com. 7200 IN MX 5 myserverhostname.
Thanks for your assistance.
I've fixed it, it was pretty simple, since we are 2 ppl doing tests well the other person actually added mydomain.com to the list of domains in zimbra, therefore, the conflict.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience, well i'm actually testing this and i found it a very awesome suite.
