Default [SOLVED] I am installing 5.0.19 on ubuntu 9.x. Any links or gotchas?

I am ok with any 8.0.4 links as well if you have them. It has been a while but I seem to remember something about dns being an issue and wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for installation so I dont have to be searching for 6 hours about how to install it on ubuntu. Thanks.

Also, what ports do I HAVE to have open for the mail to be delivered? Just smtp 25? How about user access ? 80 and 443 (7071 for admin)?

The fact that Ubuntu 9.x isn't a supported platform is a fairly large gotcha. For a smooth install I'd recommend installing on 8.0.4
