Stats doesn't start/stay running

Ok, everything is great and wonderful and happy and I can now merrily go along administering and maintaining my beautiful Zimbra server, thanks in substantion portion to everyone here.

There's just one thing that still won't go away: The stats module does not start on a reboot, and does not stay running for more than several hours when manually started.

I've searched the forums and bugzilla, but there's nothing quite like this particular problem, though I have tried suggestions from similar threads to no avail. The log only tells me that it is stopped, no reason why it happened is included.

Anyone have an idea how I can make stats work consistently?

Is systat starting at startup? Use chkconfig on RHEL systems to find out.

Thanks, I checked and this is what returned:

sysstat          0:off  1:off  2:on   3:on   4:off  5:on   6:off

When I did "service sysstat status" I got nothing whatsoever.

It doesn't show up on "ps -ely" or "ps aux".

If I "service sysstat start" it says:

Calling the system activity data collector (sadc):

but does nothing.
