Thanks. The one kicker in this formula is that this server is co-located so I need public access to get to it.

If I can access the admin panel on the 10.x.x.x subnet, are there settings that I can make the end user interface publicly available?

Well install it on the public IP address then and restrict connections to the ZCS Postfix instance to only allow your front-end MTA.

Hello uxbod

Just wanted to let you know I got the server working. The issue was iptables was turned on. I should have checked this.

I have my mail relay working fine, the last thing I need to know is how can I reject all connections on port 25 on the public interface since mail is relayed in and out. I have no need for, nor do I want port 25 wide open to the Internet. Is there way in postfix to do this?

Thanks again.

I want to close out this threat as solved. Most of the issue here was the way my provider's hosted CenstOS and RHEL images were preconfigured. Doc was not as good as it should have been.

Bottom line...here's what I learned

1) Zimbra ZCS 6.0.1 installed fine on CentOS 5.1 64-bit.
2) Zimbra will listen on all interfaces
3) Needed to mod provider's preconfigured iptables to allow access to Admin panel and SMTP. It was restricted to SSH and HTTP only.
4) Configured ZCS to sit behind a mail relay through MTA config in Admin panel
5) Limited access to public IP Port 25 through iptables firewall so only private IP will send/receive smtp

System is now fully functional..
