my guess is that your server cannot resolve mailb.localdomain - please, try to check that. it might be neccessary to reinstall zimbra as well.
you can find futher info in /tmp/zmsetup.log.
After fixing FQDN everything working perfect.

    Thanks for your replies, solko!

I've noticed that dns check differs from that in linux installation, when installing in CentOS it checks FQDN before deploying packages it seems like it depends on system hostname value...

First of all I want to thank you for providing these excellent patches. Zimbra works without major glitches for the past several months.

Now I want to upgrade to 8.1 Stable and it seems 6.0.8 is out already for a couple days. Is there a rough ETA when to expect a .8 patchset?

Thanks again for this great patchset.

    Hi all!

Solko, first of all I'm saying thank you for your work. I'll wait till that thread become official guide for porting Zimbra to FreeBSD.

I'm going to install Zimbra to FreeBSD 8.0/i386 using your manual (Building GNR on FreeBSD 8 - Zimbra :: Wiki). Up to Preparing build enviroment via /usr/ports everything was fine, but when I try to make at /usr/ports/mail/zimbra-builddeps I receive following message:

I tried to manually fetch zimbra-builddeps-6.0.6.tar.gz to /usr/ports/distfiles. File fetched, but still has MD5/SHA256 signature differences.

What is going wrong? Wrong file? Port data? I missed some steps?

Solko, I tried to send ICQ message to you but you are always offline.

i am sorry, i obviously changed the file (on Jun 17th (while ports files are from Apr 19th)), please refetch the ports files, checksum should match (tested).

if anything else arises i am on icq now .

Also, it says about missing package libgmp4 (/usr/ports/math/libgmp4) but I can't find this package in ports. Maybe it has to be installed from pkg_add?

ye, well, 6.0.6 is old, libgmp4 was replaced by gmp (5) in /usr/ports/math/gmp, quick fix would be running "pkg_add -r gmp" or:
    cd /usr/ports/math/gmp
    make clean install

(i fixed it in 6.0.8 rundeps thanks to you now)

icu compilation likes to bug sometimes (don't ask me why), try:
    cd /usr/ports/devel/icu
    make clean install

if that doesn't work you can always run "pkg_add -r icu"
(the other alternative is to fetch all the precompiled packages from my repository)

i am really sorry but old versions were tested with.. old versions (and compiled on clean install). back then it worked .

still, if you can provide me with fresh fbsd 8.1 installation i can compile zimbra there and upload binary packages for rest of the world.. hehe.
