Thanks for the tips...still having a challenge.

I did the rm -rf logger/db
zmloggerinit gave me some challenges. Perhaps you have a solution:
________

./zmloggerinit
* Creating required directories
* Creating database in /opt/zimbra/logger/db/data
* Starting logger_mysql server
* Loading schema /opt/zimbra/db/loggerdb.sql
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/opt/zimbra/logger/db/mysql.sock' (2)
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/opt/zimbra/logger/db/mysql.sock' (2)
* Setting random password for mysql root user in zimbra local config
* Setting random password for mysql zimbra user in zimbra local config
* Changing mysql root user password
/opt/zimbra/logger/mysql/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/opt/zimbra/logger/db/mysql.sock' (2)'
Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/opt/zimbra/logger/db/mysql.sock' exists!
* Changing mysql zimbra user password

You'll have to manually kill the existing mysql logger daemons as well.

I'm running 4.0.3 on a mac with the logger running and my reports still contain only the two lines that this thread originially complained of.

Furrthermore, zmlogprocess produces no errors. Does anyone know why this might be? Here's how the zmlogprocess output starts out:

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

Default zmdailyreport - no messages 4.0.3 on osx server 10.4.8

i too am having trouble with my zmdailyreport output. after initial upgrade to 4.0.3 i did not have this problem. my last good zmdailyreport was on 10/27.
since then, i'm getting "no message" as the output of the overnite cron task.

taking a hint from the previous post, i ran zmlogprocess. here's the output:

libexec/zmlogprocess

myhost maps to fqdn -- host info removed

Processing mta entries from 7153711
DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Can't open file: 'raw_logs.MYI' (errno: 145) at libexec/zmlogprocess line 989.
Error executing select distinct(postfix_qid) from raw_logs where postfix_qid is not null and app like 'postfix%' and id > '7153711' with
Can't open file: 'raw_logs.MYI' (errno: 145)
Can't open file: 'raw_logs.MYI' (errno: 145) at libexec/zmlogprocess line 990.

Can't call method "fetchall_arrayref" on an undefined value at libexec/zmlogprocess line 744.

my logger process is running and i'm getting output to /opt/zimbra/log/zimbra.log and /var/log/zimbra.log

any help is appreciated

Your logger db is corrupted. you can follow the guidance in the previous messages of this post to recover.

following this thread:

Logger service issues

the problem i was having is i wasn't detailed enough in my ps -aux search for mysql. i needed ps auxww | grep mysql to be able to kill all lingering logger db threads

thanks brian, et al

i will hopefully accumulate entries in the zmlogger db and then get a good report in the next day or so

stop any processes...
