The build is in QA right now, we'd like to see a beta released with 6.0.5 but its to early to tell.

Default will Zimbra then skip the Mac OS 10.5 GA

Curious, will Zimbra then skip the Mac OS 10.5 GA (maybe because of the Apple DScache bug or so it has been implied) and come out with a 10.6 Beta 64-bit build instead? It would make sense to get the 10.6 build out and moved to GA status then put any further work into the 10.5 Beta. This has been a sore issue as the 10.5 has been over a year behind schedule.

    You do have to wait.
I've played around with the 6.0.5 version a bit, just to see how far I could make it.
Snow Leopard does not do Java 1.5, it uses symbolic links from 1.6 to 1.5. Downloading a 1.5 (from leopard) and fixing these links is step 1 (google ;-) )
Then Snow Leopard uses perl 5.10 rather than the required 5.8.x. You can change this for the current (root?) user AND after the initial failed attempt to install, also for the zimbra user (change the .bashrc to include):
    export VERSIONER_PERL_PREFER_32_BIT=yes
    export VERSIONER_PERL_VERSION=5.8.9
Now I was unable to run the installer zmsetup.pl simply because the check for an existing installation failed. Adding a nice $newinstall = 1; just below the check in the script let the script run a new install time after time. Now the installation went fine and without any fails. Still I cannot connect to the services, though I can see they're running...
I also will simply wait a little while for the new release.

Any news on what's happened to the OS X 10.6 build? I have a client crawling all over me waiting for this! I notice from the Product Portal that this has now slipped to 6.0.8 for which there is no date as yet... last comment on #38905 was over a month ago?
Please, no helpful replies like "you'll have to wait", "you're awfully demanding", or "choose another platform".
    Thanks, Michael
