Maybe you try to disable zmlogger service. Because, in this version, this service uses too much cpu

sorry, i disabled zmlogger but even without zmlogger, the system is still slow. Could it be a amavis issue? When i make a zmclamdctl stop, the system is at normal speed - is it possible to disable amavis and clam - because now, he cannot transport the mails - the av socket is down

We see a high load with many amavisd processes since upgrading to 5.0.19, too!

Depending on your number of users, you might be better off moving the MTA to its own server(s) anyway.

Are you using just the stop CLAM signatures or any third party ones ? You may also wish to try the following :-

ClamAV - Reset Defs DB - Zimbra :: Wiki
ClamAV - Updating Version - Zimbra :: Wiki

I checked that, if my server has too much messages in-out, amavis'll use to much memory.
In the fact my server run for 2 day and zimbra used 3GB ram and grow very fast
