Unhappy Zimbra - Statistics show no data available

Hi all,

i read this site:
Logger (ZCS 6.0.x and later) - Zimbra :: Wiki

Statistics show no data available
1. zmloggerctl status; ps ax | grep zmlogger
2. /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmrrdfetch -f zmmtastats
3. grep -w MTA /var/log/zimbra-stats.log
4. tail /var/log/zimbra-stats.log
5. zmsoap -z GetLoggerStatsRequest stats/@name=zmmtastats | head -20

this is attachment: Attachment 3179

in 5. step i get ERROR:
zimbra@pluto:~$ zmsoap -z GetLoggerStatsRequest stats/@name=zmmtastats | head -20 > /home/zimbra/5.txt
i get this ERROR:
ERROR: service.FAILURE (system failure: Unable to read logger stats)

This is my status:
zimbra@pluto:~$ zmcontrol status
Host pluto.noslus.cz
antispam Running
antivirus Running
ldap Running
logger Running
mailbox Running
memcached Running
mta Running
snmp Running
spell Running
stats Running

Every day, 1x-2x i get email from my zimbra server:
Sep 20 14:35:06 pluto zimbramon[4064]: 4064:err: Service status change: pluto.noslus.cz logger changed from running to stopped

and i must run this service manually...

What is wrong?

thx for reply

EDIT:
i have ZCS 6.0... I upgraded from 5.0.16...
and now i again get email from zimbra server:
Sep 20 14:35:06 pluto zimbramon[4064]: 4064:err: Service status change: pluto.noslus.cz logger changed from running to stopped
Sep 21 13:12:44 pluto zimbramon[4064]: 4064:err: Service status change: pluto.noslus.cz logger changed from stopped to running

but now logger run self... why?

Hi,

I see the same problem here. I get this error as well when using the Admin Page for statistics.
On my first click there I get this error
Code:
Mail: system failure: exception during auth {RemoteManager: zimbra.systrade.de->zimbra@zimbra.systrade.de:22} Fehlercode: service.FAILURE Details:soap:Receiver
When selecting other tabs I get the error described by Trolo.

Not sure if this is related or not, but sysstat is now required with the latest versions of Zimbra. In Ubuntu after installing the sysstat package you must do one of the following to enable it...

dpkg-reconfigure systat or manually changing value of ENABLED from "false" to "true" in "/etc/default/sysstat"

Make sure to restart the service /etc/init.d/sysstat restart

Could this be the problem?

Hi Wedge,

you are the man! This solved it for us.

EDIT: OK not really. Stats work for systemwide, but not when I select a specific host.

Thanks a lot.

Christian

cch,

My system is functioning the same, I have systemwide stats but nothing for a specific host. There is a bug report started here...
Zimbra Bug 41301

What it did seem to help with were the errors I was seeing on the Admin page and the logger service stoping and having to be manually restarted. But since I made several changes to my system I was looking for confirmation from others.
