Default [SOLVED] BAD parse error: excess characters at end of command

After upgrading from 5.0.5 to 6.0.0, everything work fine except IMAP. I got the following error:

Opps...sorry. I'm using MUA (Mail.app and Thunderbird) as well as command line (telnet localhost imap).

Thank you.

I am seeing the same issue with using both Outlook 2007 SP2, and my Nokia N95 using IMAP on both...

Everything was working fine with v5, but after the upgrade to v6 it broke. So far I've tried enabling clear-text logins, removing myself as Global Administrator, tried with another mailbox, re-deployed my SSL certificates... and nothing gives me access. I can telnet into the server port 143 even when cleartext logins are disabled (which shouldn't be possible i thought)...

My log files show a similar output to the "excess characters at end of command"...

In addition, i see the following on my /var/log/zimbra.log file:

Sep 20 17:55:50 sayde postfix/smtpd[18520]: connect from sayde.escarra.org[192.168.10.21]
Sep 20 17:55:50 sayde postfix/smtpd[18520]: lost connection after CONNECT from sayde.escarra.org[192.168.10.21]
Sep 20 17:55:50 sayde postfix/smtpd[18520]: disconnect from sayde.escarra.org[192.168.10.21]

AND Outlook complains about the server not accepting the "CONNECT" command... Any ideas? Are we the only ones with this problem in v6?

asfik, thank you very much for your help. After following the steps on N810 Users Fix for email client IMAP it worked for me!!!

In short, i used the commands:

zmlocalconfig -e nio_imap_enable=false
zmlocalconfig -e nio_imap_enabled=false
zmcontrol stop
zmcontrol start

Thank you!!!!!
