Question Installing Zimbra in Cento OS 5

Just a quick question...

I'm planning to install Zimbra to migrate our current Lotus Dominos 6.5 server with all mail boxes, calendars and everything else. My question is, if I should authenticate the CentOS server against our Windows 2008 Active Directory, or it would work as stand alone server without authenticating it against AD?

Regards,

Jose

Default Thanks!!

I've been trying to join CentOS to our 2008 AD with no luck. So. I'll try it as a stand alone server then.

Regards,

Jose

For AD authentication I do not believe you have to join the CentOS server itself to AD. All you need to be able to do is perform a LDAP lookup against the AD server; so a valid AD account, with read capabilities, is all that is required.
