yes. That does not fix it - at least it does not set the permissions to 755. Not sure if we really need the "5" at the end for "others".

Your /etc/nsswitch.conf contained

This was causing libnss.so to load libnss_db.so which is linked against libdb-4.3.so. This conflicts with the bdb version libdb-4.7.so that postfix is linked against. Postfix output wasn't really indicating that it was segfaulting but if you tried to run /opt/zimbra/postfix/libexec/master by hand it was noticeable.

Changing db files to just files resolves the issue.

Here are the relevant lines from nsswitch.conf. In some lines, it used to say "db files" instead of just "files".

hosts:          files mdns4_minimal [NOTFOUND=return] dns mdns4
networks:       files

protocols:       files
services:        files
ethers:          files
rpc:             files
