Default Configuring Zimbra to run completely locally.

Hello,

Sorry if this is a common question, but i can't find any help regarding this.

I'm running the latest Zimbra on Ubuntu 8.04 lts.

I want to set up Zimbra locally, in a DMZ, not with a public host domain record (e.g. mydomain.com) but with a local domain record (mydomain.local). The machine name will be something like mail1.domain.local.

Since Zimbra will be running locally, i don't want it to send or recieve emails itself, but to download emails from an external mail server, with catchall, and also to send emails via an external mail server.

I dont want zimbra to actually deal with sending and recieving externally since i have alot of users in my office, and the server will be busy enough servicing web clients.

I cannot find anywhere online that easily describes how to do this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I've tried reading through 23092-installing-zimbra-ubuntu-8-04-hardy, but it doesnt explain how i can set zimbra up this way. I only know how to do basic stuff with Linux.

I appreciate any help given.
