Unhappy FC4 & RHE4 : Install freeze after spel.rpm DONE

Hi all,

I have tried diffèrent ways and distribution to install Zimbra and it fails always at the same moment. Just after the unpacking of the last rpm (spel) the system freeze.

I have tried it with FC4 and Redhat Ent 4 and also same problem with both versions of Zimbra.

Is there an instance of LDAP running when you try to do the install? Before running the install have you checked to make sure there's no Zimbra services running? Is this an upgrade or a clean install? If it's a clean install have you also tried removing the failed Zimbra install using './install.sh -u' and killing any running services then re-installing?

I just made a last test, clean system, no ldap. Same problem.

Difficile à croire que l'on ait cette erreur dans le logfile si le système est propre et "neuf"...
It's quite difficult to believe you have this error in the logfile if the system is brand new and clean...

Code:

For our English/International readers, I guess we'll dig in the problem in French then sum'up the solution in English.

(To our Zimbra Inc. moderators, why not creating a couple "language based" sub-forums ?)
