Hi guys,

i just updated my etch to lenny. however probably not my best idea ever :P
zimbra ist not starting anymore and i guess lenny ist not supported and taht is the reason why.

Any advice how to fix that problem. if needed i can reinstall the system but need to know how to backup / restore zimbra installation including my 30 mail boxes.

thank you.

Hi,

do I understand your posts the right way?

You had have debian etch with Zimbra 5 running and took this to a centos 5 machine? - That sounds great!!!

Can you please write the steps down you did this?

I think i will do it this way:

- Backup, for sure
- Install a clear Centos 5.4 and install Zimbra 6.0.3 (my Etch is 6.0.3, too)
- Install with -s and remove the /opt/zimbra folder
- rsync /opt/zimbra from my running system to the new
- install without -s
- reboot ---> Having fun!

could it work this way?

hi Centro,

sounds good:

- Install with -s and rename the /opt/zimbra folder
- rsync
- install/upgrade your zimbra install
- setup your config including sendmail link if your using for ex.: web scripts
thats it!

good luck!
