Default [SOLVED] RHCS installation from RHEL5

Hi,

I want to install RedHat Cluster Suite from RHEL5. I have installed RHEL5 on the cluster nodes. I dont know how to install RHCS. Is there any command to install or enable RHCS? As I am new to this one, pls help me on this.

Note: I want to create a cluster with 2 nodes. Kindly share some info about heartbeat between the cluster nodes.

Thanks in Advance,
Mohan

This is a forum for Zimbra Collaboration Suite, I'd suggest you read the RHCS Documentation and visit some RHCS forums for help. If you're intending to install Zimbra on RHCS5 then it's not currently a supported environment.

Thanks Bill for your immediate response. I have those documents already. But in that, they are not talking about the installation procedure for RHCS.

Yes but my point is that this isn't a support forum for RHCS, you've given no information on how this has anything to do with Zimbra.

Hi Phoenix,

What about this document: "Cluster Install for Single-Node Configuration" (http://files.zimbra.com/website/docs...on%20Guide.pdf) ?

It describes:

"Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® Cluster Suite version 4, Update 5 or later
update release. In the single-node cluster implementation, all Zimbra
servers are part of a cluster under the control of the Red Hat Cluster
Manager.

Note: Red Hat Cluster Suite consists of Red Hat Cluster Manager and
Linux Virtual Server Cluster. For ZCS, only Red Hat Cluster Manager is
used. In this guide, Red Hat Cluster Suite refers only to Cluster Manager."

So, it is not officially supported, but it is possible to install ?

It is supported starting with ZCS 5.0.18. We'll get the docs updated to reflect this change.
