    Default Deferred mail 'challenges'

    Fedora 4
    Zimbra 3.1.1

All seems configured properly (including earlier ISP smtp-auth referred to and solved in an earlier thread).

    Outbound mail works fine.

Inbound mail all ends up in deferred queue, and never seems to leave that queue.

Under 'error' in the mail queue status screen, all messages say: 'connect to[]: connection timed out.

The xxx address references above is valid and pingable.

    pertinent snippet of zimbra.log follows:

    Default Solved

    Set /postfix/conf/

    Passes mail successfully.

    Any downside to this?

No there isn't any downside to allowing DNS lookups.

Just as an FYI, there is a box to check that will enable DNS lookups in the WebUI Admin.

    Glad things are working.
