installing SplitDNS in dedicated virtual machine(VM)

Hello

i intend to install/setup Split-DNS(bind) in a dedicated virtual machine (ESX).

In the split_dns howto on the Zimbra-Wiki, bind is installed on the same host as Zimbra itself..


Is this kind of installation (ZCS and DNS in different VMs) ok? And/or are there
additional Zimbra setup requirements?

The wiki article is just one example of how to set-up Split DNS, you can add those DNS records to any DNS server on your LAN
