Default beginners setup questions (shared mbox and addresses)

Hello

I am going to install ZCS for the first time (in an eva environment, for about 10 users):

My plan is to do something like the following:

- different users shared mboxes should appear in the same/single reading pane/column
(asap the user connects to ZCS with the web-browser).

- shared mboxes are used that every user can copy mails between different mboxes and
from the inbox to such shared mboxes.

- additional "sub-mailbox"(under the shared mbox) are not shared
In order to access his sub-mailboxes the user has to enter a password (probably
before access is granted to ZCS

- all users can update, add and delete eMail-addresses

Question:

Is this a standard environment? Or is such a scenario not possible?

Thank you very much for any help!

John

Yup, you can move the shares wherever you want in the left tree.

To copy between shared folders and personal folders hold shift while you drag a message, you should see the green + icon and notice msg "item copied" (Unless your dragging from a read-only shared > personal in which case the default is to copy.)

Kinda curious why have sub-folders under the shared account inbox/sent folder at all, and not use their personal account folders?

There is no 'individual folder password' feature for internal ZCS users. Currently you have to share then revoke in order to deny access to sub-folders/break the inherit chain.

Vote: Bug 38429 – RFE negative share permissions : 'none' perm on subfolder is silent : 'do not inherit' flag/chain murky

Yes, by sharing a contact folder. (Of note Bug 11141 – Need option to enable auto-complete from shared addressbooks is implemented in ZCS 6.0)

Thank you very much for the reply! Very good question! That was my intention:

- Mails with correct addresses should - obviously - land direktly in the users mailbox
- mails without personal address (e.g. info@abc.com) are moved by a human mail dispatcher to the correct user-mbox
- since the space is limited in the reading pane, only one mbox per user should be shown
- all users should be able to move mails to the public mbox of the group members
- users should be able to move mails in their personal non shared moboxes
(thats the reason i was contemplating about making sub-folders under the shared account inbox/sent)
.

How can those/our requirements be implemented in a smarter way?

Thank you very much for any help!

John
