    Default Login page error

    I installed Zimbra successfully on FC4, and get this message when i`m tryin to login on http://localhost.localdomain:8080 :

    An unknown application error has occurred. Please correct any errors and retry. If the problem persists, please contact your System Aministrator. (service.FAILURE)

    I restarted Zimbra and it seems that all services are running:

    $zmcontrol start

    Calling start (localhost.localdomain)

    perl /opt/zimbra/bin/zmmon &

    RESPONSE: (Zimbra::Mon::serviceInfo)

    ":8080" ? I thought the vanilla instalation uses port 80.

    Are you using the Tomcat that shipped with Zimbra? It should be in /opt/zimbra/tomcat. Since we have 3 webapps in there when Tomcat starts I'm pretty sure something will be in one of the logs in /opt/zimbra/tomcat/logs. Can you try restarting Tomcat and verify that something is written to them?

    What URL are you using? Can you try a shift-refresh of your browser to make sure the files are from this install and not cached?

    If you're trying to get to localhost, it's not likely that the router has any chance to redirect the traffic.
