    Question Error whith ldap!!! :( Zimbra 3.1.1

    Could you please post the installation log?

    Also, did you shut down Zimbra prior to starting the upgrade?

    I think LDAP may have been running.

    Yes, this does affect your installation as you don't have an MX record pointing at your server - it's pointing at your public IP address. You'll need to check your /etc/hosts file is set-up correctly and then set-up a local split-DNS server.

    Of what?

    If you mean the /etc/hosts file then it's in the Quick Start Guide. If you mean split-DNS then it's documented in the wiki.

    Yes, that's correct for the hosts file but you still need an MX record pointing at your internal IP address and that's a split-DNS set-up.
