Default [SOLVED] DNS Lookup

Hi Guys

I am very new to Zimbra and hope that you guys will be able to assist me. I have installed Zimbra (testing) and it works brilliantly. Before stating my case - I have checked the forums and found part solution but the problem still persists.

What I have noticed that when I send out to a specific domain - I get this error message - .... 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1) (in reply to RCPT TO command).

YES, when I enable DNS lookup under MTA it works 100% BUT then all incoming emails are then sent to the deferred queue (connection refused) and obviously when I disable DNS lookup - all incoming emails are 100% but then I have the problem of sending to that specific domain again.

Have I missed something out?

Will appreciate your assistance.

It helps to give as much information as possible when requesting help, details of the operating system, Zimbra release and version, whether your firewall and SElinux is disabled, whether you're on a LAN or Public IP, entries from the log files, details of what you've tried to resolve the problem etc.

Your problem is likely caused by the fact you're on a LAN and don't have a Split DNS set-up.

Hi Bill

I have setup Split DNS now and all seems to be running 100%. Thank you.

In future I will definitely give more details on any issues that may arise.
