Anyone out there running ZCS (FOSS or NE) on top of CentOS 5.x with more than 4GBs of RAM installed and recognized by the OS?
Yes, NE on CentOS 5.2 x86_64. No problems.
Mine is 32bit. Maybe that is the issue. Are you running kernel or kernel-PAE?
Yep. Look to the right to see my configuration.
Yes, I use CentOS 5.2 (and recently upgraded it to 5.3) with 16GB of RAM, which it has always recognized.

If you did go the 32bit route then as DeepBlue has said the maximum addressable amount of memory per process will be 2048MB. JVM would need to be tuned back usingas described in Performance Tuning Guidelines for Large Deployments - Zimbra :: Wiki.Code:su - zimbra zmlocalconfig mailboxd_java_heap_memory_percent ... and to set the parameter ... zmlocalconfig -e mailboxd_java_heap_memory_percent=20
i have same this,solved!
mark!
thks
