ZCS on CentOS w/ more than 4GB of RAM ??

Anyone out there running ZCS (FOSS or NE) on top of CentOS 5.x with more than 4GBs of RAM installed and recognized by the OS?

Yes, NE on CentOS 5.2 x86_64. No problems.

Yes, I use CentOS 5.2 (and recently upgraded it to 5.3) with 16GB of RAM, which it has always recognized.

There is no PAE Kernel for x86_64. You should definitely use x86_64 if you can. PAE Kernels could extend the usable RAM on 32Bit Systems, but a single process can not use more that about 2GB of RAM...

If you did go the 32bit route then as DeepBlue has said the maximum addressable amount of memory per process will be 2048MB. JVM would need to be tuned back using

su - zimbra
zmlocalconfig mailboxd_java_heap_memory_percent
... and to set the parameter ...
zmlocalconfig -e mailboxd_java_heap_memory_percent=20

as described in Performance Tuning Guidelines for Large Deployments - Zimbra :: Wiki.

Yes I am running 32bit at the moment on the machine. Plan to move it over to a 64bit setup here sometime soon. Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions. Once I get ZCS moved over to the 64 machine I'll repost.
