[SOLVED] Error while starting zimbra

Make the changes as above as you have deleted your localhost entry and that is why mailbox is complaining Once the changes have been made restart ZCS.

Hi ,

i have corrected that. But still i am getting another error.

java.net.SocketException
MESSAGE: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused

STACKTRACE:

at com.mysql.jdbc.MysqlIO.(MysqlIO.java:276)

When i run "zmcontrol status", I am getting the following details.

[zimbra@websrv15 root]$ zmcontrol status

antispam Running
antivirus Running
ldap Running
logger Stopped
logmysql.server is not running
mailbox Stopped
zmmtaconfig is running.
mysql.server is not running
mailboxd is running.
mta Running
snmp Running
spell Running
stats Stopped

As this mysql servers were not running, i think this URL is loading. Is it?

Okay, shutdown ZCS and make sure all zimbra processes have indeed been stopped

ps aux | grep zimbra

and then try starting again. Then check all your logfiles for error messages.

Have you looked under for /opt/zimbra/log/mysqlerror.log ?

Mysql Crash Recovery - Zimbra :: Wiki

Hi ,

I did the first step from the URL, After that i started and restarted the mysql. I didn't get the Pid for that.

[zimbra@websrv15 ~]$ mysql.server start
Starting mysqld...done.
[zimbra@websrv15 ~]$ mysql.server restart
mysqld not running: no pid in '/opt/zimbra/db/mysql.pid'
Starting mysqld...done.

After that i have run the second command from the second step

"mysql --batch --skip-column-names -e "show databases" | grep -e mbox -e zimbra > /tmp/mysql.db.list"

I get the following error,

ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/opt/zimbra/db/mysql.sock' (2)

I made that working. Now the mails are sending. I have referred this Post "http://www.zimbra.com/forums/installation/24883-ssl-error-right-after-install-can-t-get-into-admin-ui.html" to fix my issue in mysql.

Thanks for your help. Using your walk through only, i have come to know about zimbra and its errors. Again thanks for your help.
